Guatemala Adoptive Parents of Kansas City (GAPKC): Heading back to Guatemala

I will be heading back down to Guatemala in February to bring supplies and shoes to the families in Santa Maria Ixhuatan. In addition, I will be working with the team of OUR Guatemala to get more information about the project to bring water to this village. My daughter's school is collecting shoes for the children in the village and after just one week we already have over 60 pairs (62 pounds) to take down.. We are continuing to collect shoes until February 12. If anyone local has any shoes they would like to donate, email gapkc.org@gmail.com and we can arrange pickup.

Becoming a Member

Becoming a member of GAPKC has many benefits. The primary benefit to the members is the friendships and relationships with others who are associated with Guatemalan adoptions. The importance of support groups for internationally adopted chinldren is continually a subject in adoption magazines and other publications. It is the goal of GAPKC that the benefits of membership will be seen for years through the eyes of our children.

For membership information, click on the "google groups" icon on the sidebar and send a request to become a member. We no longer have a membership fee. We ask for donations periodically to cover the cost of activities.

GAPKC is applying to be a registered 501c so all donations will soon be tax deductible.
